I absolutely loved the room at Porta Garibaldi! It had everything I needed for a comfortable stay, like a coffee machine and a private bathroom with bathrobes. The studio even had a kitchen and a flat-screen TV, perfect for relaxing after a long day. Being an avid cyclist, I was thrilled to find out that the apartment offered free use of bicycles. The individually decorated guestrooms with their own kitchens were a pleasant surprise too. this place was a dream for someone like me who enjoys cooking and wants a cozy home-away-from-home feel.
While I enjoyed my stay at Porta Garibaldi, one thing that I personally didn't like as much was the retractable dining table for 3 people. I prefer a larger dining space as I often like to invite friends over.

The room was cozy and had a homely feeling, making me feel comfortable and relaxed. As an old person, I value the familiar and comforting environment. Having a kitchen in the apartment was fantastic! I enjoyed being able to prepare my own meals and have a dining table where I could enjoy them. The complimentary use of bicycles was a pleasant surprise. It allowed me to explore the city and enjoy the surroundings at my own pace.
Personally, I found the retractable dining table in the room a bit small for my needs. However, others may still find it convenient for their stay.

My stay at Porta Garibaldi was wonderful! I stayed for a few days for leisure and the experience was fantastic. The host, Alessandra, was out of town, but her husband took great care of everything. The breakfast spread was impressive, with a wide variety of options including yogurts, eggs, bacon, and delicious Italian cakes. The room had an espresso machine and all the necessary utensils for cooking and eating. The location was perfect, with easy access to the Metro and plenty of restaurants nearby.
Can recommend this hotel.

The room is beautifully decorated and feels cozy and comfortable. As someone who loves a beachy vibe, it was the perfect place for me to unwind after a day by the sea. I absolutely loved having a coffee machine in the room. Waking up to a fresh cup of coffee made my mornings even more enjoyable. The private entrance to the studio gave me a sense of privacy and freedom. It felt like my own little beachside retreat. The bathroom was well-equipped with bathrobes and toiletries. I felt pampered and relaxed every time I took a shower. I appreciated the free use of bicycles. It was a fun and convenient way to explore the area and take in the beautiful coastal views.
Personally, I would have preferred a larger dining table. The retractable one for three people felt a bit cramped for me.

The location of the hotel is fantastic, with easy access to the Garibaldi subway stop, making it convenient to explore the city. It is also close to the railway station, making it a great choice for solo travelers arriving by train. Additionally, there is a tram line nearby, providing even more options for getting around. The rooms are well-equipped with everything you could possibly need, from towels and bathrobes to cooking equipment. The breakfast provided is generous and includes homemade cakes that are delicious.
The street numbering in the area can be a bit confusing, which may cause some difficulty in finding the hotel initially.

Great Location: The hotel is conveniently located near major transportation hubs, making it easy to explore the city. Within a short walk, you can find tram and subway lines, as well as a train station. This makes it convenient to take day trips to nearby attractions like Lake Como.
Traffic Noise: There is some traffic noise in the area, which can be bothersome if you are a light sleeper. However, closing the windows and using the air conditioning can help minimize the disturbance.
